Security Architect

Mercedes-Benz Research & Development Tel-Aviv is looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Security Architect to shape with us our vehicle security architecture, driving our cars’ security robustly towards the future and its underlying challenges.

We are looking for:

5+ Years Security engineering and solutions experience, in at least three of the following:

Security architecture, network security, OS hardening, application security, cloud security, virtualization security.

 In addition:

• Experience in working across large, international organization with diverse teams from different domains.

• Experience in integrating security controls in complex systems.

• Personal Leadership & Exceptional teamwork capabilities

• Extensive knowledge of current and emerging security technologies

• Basic coding skills (e.g., Python, C/C++)

Main responsibilities in this position:

Security Architecture Design

• Identify assets, perform threat assessments, and analyze potential attack vectors.

• Design security architecture, including topology, security controls and building blocks.

• Consider all trade-offs and aspects of the security solutions for our cars.

• Design security concepts and solutions that will fit into different technological environments: embedded systems,

unix-based systems, and cloud-based systems.

• Write security requirements and security design documents for components and systems.

• Adhere to best practices and search for market best solutions.

• Write common technical standards for security controls and concepts implemented across the different company

domains.

• Ensure project execution, with speed and agility - including supporting integration and testing.

• Monitor and mitigate potential risks (for both project execution and product security).

Security Innovation

• Self-education and self-training to maintain technological edge.

• Learn up-to-date attacks and state-of-the-art security technologies.

• Learn new automotive technologies and trends.

• Review & examine companies and technologies from the eco-system.

• Recommend new security technologies for mitigation of threats.

Advantages:

• Previous experience with: automotive electronics architecture, Bus-systems and protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive

Ethernet, FlexRay, AutoSAR, OBDII), AKS, AWS IoT Core, Cloud-native IAM solutions, cloud-native security monitoring, API management, WAF technologies, Linux, hypervisor technologies, Secure communication solutions for IoT, PKI and TLS implementations.

• Experience in defining security models for operating systems and/or complex cloud systems

• Understanding of wireless communication systems: e.g., GSM, 3G, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC

• Hands-on experience with Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, can-utils, Putty/minicom, Wireshark, K8S, AWS and/or Azure environments.

Education:

•B.Sc in Computer Sciences / Information Technology / Electrical Engineering
