Bookkeeper

The bookkeeper will be responsible for full cycle bookkeeping duties, preparation of bank reconciliations, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax filings (VAT, Social Security, TAX), and general office assistance as required. This role is key support to the Controller in all financial functions and is the secondary point of customer contact; providing ongoing customer service through problem solving, analyzing challenges, providing solutions, and completing jobs in a timely manner. 

Responsibilities

• Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
• Update and maintain the general ledger
• Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
• Recording of debits and credits
• Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers
• Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
• Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
• Monitor any variances from the projected budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• 3+ years of experience in related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Priority and QuickBooks (a huge advantage)
• Strong organizational and analytical skills Detail oriented
