The role:

We are seeking an analytical, savvy, strategic, and business-minded experienced attorney to lead our Legal & Commercial Department, oversee and enforce all legal aspects, and provide legal counsel to various commercial entities. The consultant includes both local and international clients on a variety of complex and innovative legal issues. This includes providing ongoing counsel in fields such as real estate, payments, banking, financial regulation, consumer protection, environmental protection, intellectual property, internet law, and more.

Responsibilities

• Providing strategic legal guidance to unit managers in transactional development and legal frameworks.
• Establishing legal frameworks for innovative ventures.
• Employing creative problem-solving skills to address specialized legal challenges.
• Directing interdisciplinary workgroups, including senior stakeholders like BU Strategic leaders, CEOs, CFO, COO, and Tax lead.
• Overseeing legal affairs across group entities, ensuring compliance with employment contracts, retirement plans, supplier agreements, customer contracts, and strategic partnership agreements, and also Working closely with, and guiding, our local and foreign counsels.
• Antitrust Regulation and Compliance, ensuring organizational compliance with GDPR, and privacy regulations, and fostering a respectful workplace culture.
• Managing risk and exposures through regular assessments and strategic planning.
• Conducting Company-wide Training.
• Be responsible for the Group’s day-to-day corporate legal matters and create standardized templates, business processes, and internal policies to help protect and scale the businesses

• Proven ability and experience in operating and managing external entities, law firms, and subcontractors.

Knowledge:

• Minimum 5 years experience in practicing law, preferably in a corporation or group of companies. Preferably in the technology and online sector, including several years at a large law firm or a boutique law firm specializing in the technology and online sector (in-house work acceptable as well).
• Experienced in the initiation and setup of international joint ventures, partnerships, and joint stock companies internationally
• Commercial experience and negotiations relating to commercial terms, disputes, and challenges
• General commercial law experience. Experience in high-tech, online/web platforms, software, information technology, app stores, data privacy, Fin-tech, banking, and similar fields, is a significant plus. 
• Ability to draft and close day-to-day and commercial agreements with minimal support from senior staff.
• Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) from an accredited institution; a Master's degree in Law (LL.M) or equivalent is preferred.
• International and financial legal regulations.
• Extensive expertise in international commercial law, corporate law, and contract law.
• Experience in negotiating and drafting complex agreements.
• Native-level English language skills.
• Familiarity with real estate, internet law, privacy regulations, and banking industries.
