Bioprocess Development Scientist – Job Description 

Location: Haifa 

Background: 

NurExone Biologic is developing applicative and novel tools for the recovery of spinal cord injury using exosomes loaded with potent siRNA. 

We are looking for a Bioprocess Development Scientist to join our growing company. 

Responsibilities: 

▪ Design and develop upstream and downstream processes for optimal flow, capability, and safety and for minimum variability 

▪ Ensure that process techniques are in alignment with the corporate goals, quality policy, and regulatory requirements 

▪ Research and recommend new technologies 

▪ Identify and troubleshoot process-related issues 

▪ Execute IPCs and characterization assays for the product 

▪ Design and execution of experiments, drafting protocols and reports, recording, analyzing, and presenting experimental data 

▪ Transfer technologies and methods to the manufacturing site 

▪ Work with cell cultures and bioreactors in aseptic conditions 

▪ Work cross-functionally with other groups inside and outside the company 

Qualifications & Skills: 

▪ M.Sc. in Biology / Biochemistry or B.Sc/M.Sc in Biotechnology or Biochemical/Biomedical Engineering 

▪ A minimum of 3 years of experience preferably in the cell and gene therapy/biotechnology industry-must 

▪ Experience with aseptic and tissue culture technics – must 

▪ Experience with bioreactors – advantage 

▪ Experience in separation and purification techniques of nanoparticles - advantage 

▪ Experience with extracellular vesicles or nanoparticles for drug delivery – advantage 

▪ Independent, hard worker, with technical skills, capable of performing on a tight schedule 

▪ A strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills 

▪ Fluent in English (written and oral)
