Senior Backend Developer

What will you be doing?

As a backend engineer with frontend skills, you will take full ownership of features and products - from research and design to implementation, testing, and deployment to production, end-to-end. You'll work closely with our data engineering and data science teams to ensure the delivery of top-notch, resilient services, with an added responsibility for contributing to the UI/UX aspects of our projects using React or a similar UI framework.

You will:

• Be an integral part of the compliance squad, working in an agile environment, primarily with Node.js and Python, and contributing to frontend development with React or another chosen UI framework.
• Collaborate with our data teams to ensure our data is compliant and user interfaces are intuitive and user-friendly.
• Ensure quality by developing corresponding tests for both backend and frontend.
• Identify performance issues and design comprehensive solutions that encompass both server and client-side.
• Deploy using CI/CD to our microservices environment, ensuring a seamless user experience through effective frontend integration.
  
  

• A team player, eager to work in a group of engineers, discussing, analyzing, and crafting the architecture of solutions for the requirements presented by the product manager of the squad.
• Technically versatile, with a keen interest in extending your influence to the frontend, ensuring that both the server and client sides work harmoniously.

• 4+ years of experience in designing and implementing server-side applications.
• 4+ years of programming experience in Node.js.
• Experience writing tests (Unit, component, functional, E2E).
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as Postgres, Mongo, and Redis.
• Experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ/SQS.
• Proficiency in React or another modern UI framework/library, with a solid understanding of creating user-friendly, responsive designs.
  
  

• Experience with distributed systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes & dockers.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Familiarity with Pyspark and Spark streaming, Airflow.
