Role Description/Criteria

St John the Apostle Catholic Primary School is located in Tarneit and opened in 2015. The school belongs to the Parish of St Andrew’s Werribee and falls under the governance of Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools (MACS) who is the ultimate employer of staff within our organisation.

We Are Currently Seeking a Teacher Who Is Able To Commence Term 2 Or Earlier.The Successful Applicant Must Be Able To Demonstrate

• A Commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and to the safety and wellbeing of the students
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to work as part of a team and a willingness to be flexible
• The capacity to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
• The ability to differentiate their teaching and make adjustments according to student needs
• An understanding of the curriculum and the skills of an effective teacher
• Strong classroom management and a talent for promoting positive student behaviour.
  
  

• VIT Registration
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School or a willingness to undertake this into the future.
  
  

• Salaries are based on a scale determined by years of experience and range from $77,248 to $114,591 (gross) per annum.
• Confirmation of where applicants sit on this scale is determined after a formal salary assessment performed by Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools (MACS)
