What you’re applying for

We’re looking for a driven backend engineer to join our growing Engineering team in TLV, and help build our best-in-class in-house claims system.

In this role, you’ll contribute to the development of “Blender”, Lemonade’s bespoke claims management platform, which we built from scratch. You’ll create new, complex features directly for operators, end users, as well as platformic libraries and modules used by other development teams. Blender’s success is a huge part of Lemonade’s success.

Platformic thinking and diversified challenges are at the heart of this team. You’ll have direct communication with Product, QA, Data, Machine Learning, and other dev teams, all with the goal of delivering a seamless, joyful experience for our users.

In this role you’ll

Help build our products using microservices written in Typescript (using NestJS) running over Kubernetes

Build and maintain typescript libraries and clients used by other dev teams

Take ownership of multiple micro-service repos, as well ass deep dive into related services of other teams (All NestJS)

Leverage our in-house autonomous tools to manage all development flow, from setting up our development environment to creating git branches and deploying services to production

Collaborate closely with stakeholders, in a self-sufficient squad to achieve the squad’s quarterly goals

Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability of our products

What you’ll need

4+ years working as a backend engineer

BS.c in Computer Science or Mathematics (or equivalent experience)

Passionate about technology

Broad knowledge of modern backend frameworks, tools, and architecture

Experience working on high scale, production-grade projects

Past contributions to open-source projects are a plus

Great communication skills

Ability to work in an office environment a minimum of 3 days a week
