DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with our development and operations teams to streamline our deployment processes, enhance our infrastructure, and ensure the reliability and scalability of our systems. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the growth and success of SignalPet's platform.

SignalPET is a technology and AI leader in the veterinary field. Using state-of-the-art machine learning techniques and patented technology, SignalPET assists veterinarians in diagnosing and treating companion animals all around the globe.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Utilize Helm for managing Kubernetes applications and simplifying deployment.
• Support and optimize MongoDB, Elasticsearch, RDS, and Druid databases.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate Python scripts and applications into our infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain Bash scripts for automation and system administration tasks.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues using tools like Datadog and OpenTelemetry.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and GitHub Actions.
• Work with Linux-based systems to ensure smooth operation of our infrastructure.
• Learn and adapt to new technologies and tools as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of containerization concepts and experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language, preferably Python.
• Experience with database management systems like MongoDB, Elasticsearch, RDS, or Druid.
• Knowledge of Linux systems administration and shell scripting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
