Senior Backend Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend services in different cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development and cloud environments.

What You Will Do:

• Design, architect, and develop our core applications for SaaS customers.
• Write maintainable, scalable, and efficient code in Golang.
• Solve challenging problems in cybersecurity and various cloud environments by developing and designing the best architecture.
• Collaborate with product owners and different stakeholders (architecture, security, frontend and other backend teams).
• Architect and impact new and existing cloud products to meet constraints of time, memory, storage, security and cost.
• Build and design a multi-tenant scalable system deployed as part of a SaaS product which is in the front stage of Aqua and serves fortune 100 companies.
• Take full responsibility and ownership from definition, design, and architecture, through development and testing to post-deployment.
• Work in an environment that highly supports individual growth and creativity. The sky is the limit is not a cliché.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of industry experience as a Backend software engineer.
• 3+ years of industry experience with developing cloud serverless in public cloud providers (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• B.Sc. in computer science or equivalent engineering experience from a military unit.
• Deep understanding of microservice architecture principles, and large-scale and event-driven distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) in public cloud providers (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• Hands-on experience with different databases (SQL / No-SQL) development.
• Excellent communication skills and high ability to lead and motivate.
• Ready to take end-to-end ownership of a product lifecycle: design, build, ship and maintain our backend services.
• Be a collaborative senior engineer with a “can-do” attitude to push forward independently other teams (Security, Architecture, Product, etc.).
• Be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and accommodate well shifts in priorities.

Advantages:

• Hands-on experience with Golang.
• Willingness to take small frontend (Vue.js / React.js) tasks – not mandatory.
• Familiarity with cloud deployment tooling, such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Hands-on experience in SaaS development.
