Supplier Development Manager

We are looking for a highly driven supplier development manager. In this position he/she will support, develop, and drive Ship4wd’s strategic sourcing processes and initiatives with a focus on maximizing supplier performance and minimizing supplier risk while supporting reduction in total acquisition cost. The position will lead to sourcing strategy and execution for complex transportation initiatives and negotiations across thousands of lanes.

Responsibilities:

· Ensure the performance of suppliers and delivery of products to our customers to meet Supplier’s KPI goals.

· Maintain appropriate, cost-effective, and efficient plans for shipments of incoming and outgoing products/supplies, ensuring timely, efficient, high-quality delivery.

· Coordinate and proactively communicate with internal and external logistics' contacts, cross-company functional contacts and suppliers/vendors as needed to ensure a consistent and efficient flow of goods and services.

· Solicit bids, analyze quotes, negotiate terms, and select contract carriers who can provide the best, cost-effective rates without sacrificing safety, quality, or delivery.

· Collaborate with products Ocean and Air, commercial, suppliers and management at all levels globally.

· Recommend optimal solutions to improve service processes, needs, and objectives for our customers.

· Ability to work in a complex matrix structure with various stakeholders, business units, functions, and products to achieve business objectives, while delivering winning end to end solutions to our customers.

Requirements:

· In-depth knowledge of Ocean & Air Freight forwarding business and understanding of supply chain logistics.

· Minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar position in verticals of shipping / Logisitics / Freight forwarding – advantage.

· Working with major freight forwarding companies in a similar position – advantage.

· BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent formal, technical vocational training.

· Experience working with data driven measurements and metrics for functional areas.
