BI Analyst \ Developer- Sports Betting Analysis

Role Summary:

Join our dynamic sports analytics team, where your expertise in dashboard creation and probability analysis will be key in enhancing our sports betting models. Your main responsibility will be to construct and manage interactive dashboards that compare our betting odds with those of competitors, assess the risk and profitability of bets, and bring insights to refine our pricing strategies and betting models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement interactive dashboards in platforms like MetaBase, PowerBI, or Excel to analyze sports betting data.
• Leverage Python for sophisticated data analysis, predictive modeling, and simulation of betting outcomes.
• Utilize SQL for database management and complex query execution to support in-depth data analysis.
• Conduct probability analyses to identify and report on hotspots and discrepancies in our betting models.
• Work collaboratively to continuously enhance our analytical tools, ensuring real-time data accuracy and insightful visualization.
• Prepare and present reports that summarize findings and support strategic decisions for profitability and model adjustments.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of professional experience in a BI analysis \ development or similar analytical role, ideally within the sports betting industry or other relevant fields.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields
• Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools, including Excel, SQL.
• Good knowledge with Python.
• Experience building dashboards (BI) and analyzing and transforming data into impactful visual insights. Previous experience in working with Metabase is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a talent for identifying trends and deriving meaningful insights from data.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A keen interest in sports, and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
