DevOps Engineer

CityShob is seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The DevOps Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our infrastructure and applications through continuous integration, deployment, and automation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development, system administration, and cloud technologies, with a passion for streamlining processes and optimizing performance.

Responsibilities

1. Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines for various projects, utilizing tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
2. Automate and streamline processes for deployment, monitoring, and operations, ensuring rapid and reliable delivery of software releases.
3. Collaborate with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to define infrastructure requirements and optimize workflows.
4. Manage and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud, including provisioning, configuration, and monitoring.
5. Monitor system performance and reliability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
6. Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef, ensuring consistency and scalability across environments.
7. Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
8. Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure timely detection and response to incidents.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
2. Proven experience in a DevOps or similar role, with a strong background in software development, system administration, and automation.
3. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
4. Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and SSL/TLS.
5. Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.
6. Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in agile development environments.
7. Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server, Elastic Search
8. Experience with microservices architecture and container-based deployments of microservices.
9. Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Terraforms, PowerShell, or Ruby, with the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
10. Experience with version control systems such as Git, including branching, merging, and code review workflows.
11. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
12. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
