Senior Software Project Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will lead and oversee the execution of complex projects related to the development of software medical devices and digital healthcare systems. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of project management methodologies in the medical and healthcare sector.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, (hardware engineers – bonus), designers, QA, regulatory affairs, and other stakeholders to define project goals, requirements, and deliverables.
• Customer facing, customer management, customer problem solving, customer point of contact.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocation to track progress and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies proactively, implementing effective risk management strategies.
• Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, providing guidance, support, and motivation to team members to achieve project objectives.
• Communicate project status, updates, and risks to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, quality management systems, and industry best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project management processes and enhance team performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the software development industry with a focus on medical devices and digital healthcare systems.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion, meeting or exceeding project objectives.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile) and tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., FDA, ISO) and knowledge of healthcare compliance and quality standards is highly desirable.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in software development lifecycle (SDLC), understanding of software architecture and design principles, familiarity with programming languages, experience with healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR), knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for medical devices and healthcare systems.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
