About Us

Covered is building a technology solution to appeal denied claims on behalf of physicians, automating the most time-consuming task in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).

There are ~$450 billion in denied medical claims each year in the United States. Health plans often use algorithms to deny these claims (Lawsuits: Cigna, Humana, United) while physicians are forced to use people to recover that revenue. It costs over 100x to appeal a denial than it costs to issue that denial in the first place, so while 50% of denials can be overturned, 65% are never reworked. When health plans don’t pay, patients are often left on the hook, which is why our founder started Covered after his brother's experience with unfair denials over 8 surgeries for Ulcerative Colitis.

Using technology, we will empower our RCM specialists to fight denied claims more quickly and efficiently, by using large language models to digest data and provide insights.

About the Job

We are looking for an experienced, versatile, and highly independent full-stack engineer to join and help bring our product to launch.

We are currently remote, based in NY and Tel Aviv.

Responsibilities

• Lead development processes from ideation to production
• Develop, maintain, and own key product features
• Collaborate with the team, experts, and clients to deliver a revolutionary product

Requirements

• Hands-on full-stack Experience in developing a product from 0 to 1.
• 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• 5+ years of experience with server-side frameworks - python is a must, node.js advantage.
• 4+ years of experience with client-side frameworks (preferably React).
• Experience with cloud architecture on (preferably) AWS or other cloud services

Advantages
