Functional Safety Engineer

Autobrains is a leading AI company in the automated driving space, backed by leading strategic and financial investors. Autobrains’ AI technology enables to close the left gaps towards safe and affordable autonomous driving. The company has over 150 employees and is currently in a hyper-growth stage to support its commercial and strategic activities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform hazard analysis, define Safety Goals and identify assumptions of use when needed.
• Support the functional safety activities relating to the development
• Define and implement Functional Safety Concepts for each Safety Goal
• Perform and moderate safety analyses, such as FMEA and FTA
• Derive Technical Safety requirements.
• Perform confirmation reviews and support verification reviews to ensure the ISO 26262 Functional Safety standards.
• Define Safety Validation specifications and reports.
• Contribute to Functional Safety audits and assessments.
• Support the implementation of the Functional Safety process at the organization (creation and or optimization of templates, guidelines, checklists)
• Interface with the customers and suppliers for Functional Safety.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with domain experts to ensure delivery of the company’s goals and targets.
• National and international travels are required
  
  

• Engineering degree in Electronics & Communications / Automotive Electronics / Computer Science /Embedded Systems or related discipline
• Good knowledge and experience working and implementing ISO 26262 standard work products
• 3 to 5 years of experience in an automotive environment (OEM / Tier Supplier or Engineering Service Provider)
• A good understanding of Automotive Systems
• Experience with other relevant standards including ISO 9001, A-SPICE
• The Automotive SPICE® Assessor certification
  
  

• Familiar with Requirements Management tools (Jira, Polarion, Doors)
• Familiar with tools for document issues and activities tracking (JIRA, Confluence).
• Familiar with tools for process and activity automation
• Familiar with tools for Safety analysis methods (Clockwork, Ansys Medini);
• Familiar with traditional office suites
