Educational Script Writer (Temp position)

Job Description

As a Script Writer, you’ll play an active role in shaping the voice of the Wix Studio Academy and turn briefs into binge-worthy educational content including scripts for video tutorials, courses, and webinars.

• Become an expert in Wix Studio to translate extensive product knowledge into content that guides, educates and inspires our audience
• Research the Studio platform and audiences to ensure copy is accurate, concise, and aligned with our voice, style guide, and product terminology
• Dive into user research, pull insights about our audience and connect them with industry trends
• Create content that resonates deeply with different audience segments—their values, pain points, and levels of product knowledge
• Collaborate closely with product marketing managers, product experts, UX writers, designers, and other teams within the company to meet shared business goals
• Take ownership of multiple projects at once and deliver to tight production deadlines
  
  

Qualifications:

• You’re a native-level English speaker and have an inspiring portfolio of script work within a high tech context
• You have experience working in an agency or high tech company, writing engaging educational materials such as online courses, webinars, and tutorials
• You’ve got experience working on set, know how to handle the fast pace and are adaptable to last minute changes
• You’re a perceptive storyteller, thinking beyond demographics to gain a deep understanding of the people you write for to create a genuine connection
• You have an understanding of, and experience with how teams of web designers, developers, marketers and SEO experts collaborate
• Translating complex ideas and technical information into concise, conversational, and non-boring content is a genuine passion of yours
• You’re curious by nature, can read beyond the surface-level and you believe learning can and should be fun—and that it doesn’t stop in the classroom
• You thrive on collaboration and independent work, and constructive feedback drives you
• You have a great eye for detail, spotting mistakes others miss, with a high standard of quality and creativity at your core
