Software Engineer

ClearCut Medical is a mid-stage startup company developing compact MRI systems for intraoperative usage. The company, located in Rehovot Science Park, Israel, has concluded successful clinical trials, released the product in Europe and started to sell commercial product. The company is looking to recruit a Software Engineer who will lead all software activities.

Software Engineer - Job Description

The right person for this role will be responsible for all software aspects of the product: design and development, integration, verification, timelines, and deliverables during the entire product life cycle.

Job Description

•  Leading all software aspects of the product.
•  Leading research and development related to the next-generation software application.
•  Resolving software bugs and issues while driving improvement in cost and efficiency.
•  The position combines working with multiple interfaces across the company and with different subcontractors.
• The position requires the ability to work as part of a small multidisciplinary R&D team.
•  Provide technical support to field service engineers as well as local and global customers.
•  Testing the performance of software components and resolving related issues
• Optimizing the design of the software architecture to improve performance.
• Report to VP R&D.

Job Requirements:

Education: B.Sc in Software Engineering or equivalent education

Job skills:

• 3-5 years of proven experience as a software engineer of multi-disciplinary systems preferred in the medical device industry.
• Experienced in writing software documents.
• Experienced in C# framework using WPF MvvM.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Experienced in software architecture.
• Hands-on, self-motivated, self-maintained, independent, and problem-solving oriented.
•  Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English & Hebrew
• Excellent in human interfaces and high technical skills.

Advantageous Job Skills:

• Experienced in the design and development of communication with electrical boards and components.
• Experienced in medical device development.
• Experienced in Azure DevOps environments.
• Writing code for hardware systems 
• Knowledge of communication protocols  
• Experienced in MATLAB
• Experienced in software verification automation.
