VP R&D for a Medical Device Start-Up

Responsibilities:

• the long-term roadmap and detailed annual product development plans that support the company strategic business plans.
• the entire range of development activities from product requirements, through design, V&V including supporting product transfer to production.
• the V&V, DHF, DMR
• develop and retain top talent for the R&D function, while motivating staff to continually improve its performance.
• for all R&D DHF, DMR file deliverables, ensuring products are developed and validated in a manner that complies with global regulatory requirements for Class II medical devices.
• technical supervision and support for the R&D team including guidance, product investigations, problems solving and implementation of solutions.

Requirements:

BSC, MSC or PHD degree in Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering from a leading university

At least 10 years experience in managing multidisciplinary systems. medical devices – big advantage

Excellent track record and achievements

Experience in setting, scaling and managing the research and development function, with the proven ability to attract, inspire, motivate and retain top tier talent.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Hebrew and English

Willingness to work long hours, to travel when required

Willingness to be “hands on”, self driven
