Indirect Buyer for HN project

Purpose of the Job

This post will be responsible for all strategic sourcing contracts, from the sourcing of suppliers through negotiation and contracting. The holder of this position will remain in close contact with the internal client for invoicing purposes.

The holder of this position will among other issues will concentrate on:

• Alstom entities Indirect sourcing activities.
• Indirect contracts.
• Handling of purchase orders from request to invoice
• In charge of localization of parts and services.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Deploying commodity strategy
• Ensuring project execution in line with QCD objectives
• Pilot contractual relationships with suppliers for sourcing scope on different Project sites Suppliers relationship:
• Identification of project and business needs
• Preparation and launch of Request For Quotation with suppliers using the standard tools
• Negotiation of cost reduction with suppliers
• Contractual negotiation with suppliers
• Inputs provider/contributor for order placement
• Ensure QCD targets achievement
• Lead supplier QCD performance reviews
• Management of initial issues before escalation to line manager
• Respect Alstom Transport code of ethics and guidelines
• Educational Requirements
  
  

Bachelor degree from business school or engineering departments with Masters degree in purchasing or other relevant degree.

Desired Knowledge / Experience

• Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar position
• Very good command of both written and spoken English, fluency in French is a plus
• Very good knowledge of MS Office applications
• Strong interpersonal skills
• No restriction to travel within or out of the country
