Sr. Electronic Engineer

These products begin as concepts developed by Candela’s world-class team of scientists and engineers or as acquired or licensed technologies that Candela then completes the development and/or commercialization of. These programs are supported by Candela’s global clinical, regulatory, and quality teams and are managed through our Product Development Process (PDP) and Quality Management System (QMS).

The Sr. Electronic Engineer will serve as a member of the engineering team focused on both new product development, concepts, and new technologies demonstration and sustaining projects. The position will be responsible to provide electrical engineering expertise to the group consisting primarily of system, software, and V&V engineers.

Essential Job Functions

• EE expertise and support to staff consisting primarily of software system and V&V engineers.
• design and implementation of HW and FW
• and new technologies demonstration over COTS boards such as Arduino and Jetson.
• to embedded code writing
• to work on architecture and requirements definitions
• to comprehend and debug circuits to the component level.
• Orcad Capture or similar schematic drawing program.
• electronic PC board design and layout. Convey written and verbal instructions to outside PCB layout consultants to ensure PCB layouts are adequate and correct.
• Life Cycle Engineering activities.
• V&V and system engineering activities.
• and perform tests to aid engineers in completing or evaluating designs.
• with engineering documentation and procedures including ECO’s and validating design changes.

Knowledge/Educational Requirements for

• years of related experience in regulated industry.
• degree or above Electronic Engineering.
• energetic, and able to work as a part of a team.
• with IEC 60601 Compliance for Medical Devices
• experience with embedded code writing
• experience with architecture and requirements definitions
• programming with C, C++, Python
• processing background – advantage
• with laser devices – advantage
• English skills required
