VP of Global Finance

A-Labs is looking to hire a VP of Global Finance. As the Vice President of Corporate Finance, your responsibilities encompass overseeing Due Diligence efforts, supporting our customers’ financial activities, as well as banking and M&A-related tasks. This is a pivotal, hands-on role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee comprehensive Due Diligence processes for prospective and newly onboarded portfolio companies, potential acquisitions, and partners; Responsibilities include ensuring thorough and efficient evaluations, providing insights on these companies’ financial status and projections, strategy, and potential, while also identifying any red flags and concerns
• Craft and hone business strategies for new portfolio companies. This involves a meticulous examination of critical financial, business, and economic insights, to achieve a refined value proposition
• Collaborate with our customers to establish the financial infrastructure necessary for external Due Diligence processes by funds, private investors, and interested acquiring companies
• Collaborate with our customers to establish the financial infrastructure necessary for an Initial Public Offering (IPO). This involves, along with other requirements, working closely with the accounting team to craft the Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), reviewing accounting practices and their implications, and preparing any required supporting documents
• Act as a representative for our customers during external Due Diligence processes, when needed, as an integral part of the company
• Engage directly in the preparation of business plans and financial models, explore what-if scenarios, create Investment memorandums, and compile Valuation reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proven experience (5-7 years) in corporate financial roles or in leading financial roles in an advisory firm or the investment banking sector
• Strong understanding and knowledge of financial planning and budgeting principles and processes, financial reporting principles, and financial management principles
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
