Sr Quality Manager

We are looking for a Sr Quality Manager for our Ophir Optronics Solutions Business in Jerusalem, with demonstrated abilities to collaborate with cross functional teams to achieve organizational objectives and to drive continuous improvement. You will use your exceptional quality assurance experience developing and implementing quality strategies to ensure operational performance while complying with all relevant standards.

How you will achieve this:

• Provide leadership to the organization to help drive a proactive approach leading to improvements in design, manufacturing, suppliers and customers.
• Identifies deficiencies or gaps in testing activities and develops solutions to ensure adequate and robust quality processes.
• Lead monthly management reviews for the Ophir Optronics Solutions Business Unit to help drive continuous improvement on top issues impacting performance.
• Actively facilitate improvement in new product development, continuous improvement activities & quality initiatives as well as customer interface and manufacturing processes to ensure quality and reliability requirements are well defined, understood, incorporated and met.
• Analyze customer returns and failure rates data in depth and provide trending analysis. Update Quality Metrics and review repair data for accuracy, determine root cause and CAPA (corrective and preventive actions) with a focus on systemic improvements. You will accomplish this by collaborating with Operations and Engineering, as needed, to determine root cause of both field and in-process failures.
• Expand and improve on existing business processes across multiple sites
• Identify and further develop KPI’s (key performance indicators) within the business to help drive improvements and Operational Excellence.
• Further enhance the organization through the use and implementation of various tools such as quality plans, process flows, FMEA (failure mode and effects analysis), DOE (design of experiments) & Gage R&R ( Repeatability and Reproducibility).
• Drive and promote a culture of quality within the organization.
• Quality management system ownership, management of the Internal Quality System Audit Program, and conduct Quality System Management Reviews.
  
  

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics (MS preferred) with 10 years minimum industry experience (Lasers, optics and/or photonics) with a background in R&D, materials science, or new product development (Lasers preferred).
• Hands on leadership to perform both tactical and strategic activities.
• Analytical and technical ability (a problem solver). Experience with product and component reliability a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Hebrew and English to interact with customers and management and a change agent approach with strong functional team building abilities.
• Experience working with large OEM organizations, particularly in the semiconductor industry and advanced markets a strong plus
• Effective and thorough knowledge of quality improvement tools, including:
• Design quality tools, including D/PFMEA, DfX, Poke-yoke, New Product Introduction
• Statistical decision-making methods including process capability analysis and DoE
• Problem solving tools (8D, K-T and 5-Why?)
• Ability to use statistical analysis tools such as Minitab, SAS, Reliasoft
• Strong knowledge in assessing the maturity of quality management systems and deep familiarity with ISO 9001-2015, ISO 17025-2017, ISO 14001-2015, AS9100 Quality Standards.
