Practical Harness Engineer - Aerospace & Defense

Job Overview

The Practical Harness Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and manufacturing wire harnesses and electrical systems for aerospace and defense applications. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, along with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams to develop solutions that meet strict industry standards and regulations.

This is a full time job in north of Israel.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop wire harnesses for aerospace and defense systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to integrate the wire harnesses into complex aerospace and defense systems.
• Conduct simulations and tests to verify designs and ensure they meet all required performance and safety standards.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot issues during the assembly process and provide expert guidance on harness fabrication and installation.ֿ
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards and advancements in harness technology and materials.
• Provide technical documentation, including design files, test reports, and installation instructions.
• Support field installations and provide troubleshooting assistance during system integration and testing phases.

Skills and Qualifications

• Practical Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Advantage - BSc.
• Proven experience in harness engineering. Advantage - experience in aerospace and defense industry.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory and applications, including signal integrity, power distribution, and electromagnetic compatibility.
• Proficiency in harness design software (e.g., Zuken E3.series, Mentor Graphics Capital, AutoCAD).
• Advantage - Familiarity with aerospace and defense industry standards and regulations (e.g., MIL-STD, AS9100).
• Advantage - hands on experience working in laboratories.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

• This position require working in various environments, including office settings, manufacturing floors, and field locations.
