We are looking for an experienced backend engineer to join our Data Foundations team.

• Design and develop internal tools and services that revolutionize how we manage data versioning, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for all teams.
• Spearhead the creation of a comprehensive data catalog, providing a single source of truth for our data’s metadata, enhancing discoverability, and streamlining data governance.
• Collaborate closely with diverse data teams across the company, gathering requirements, and tailoring solutions that meet the unique needs of each team while fostering a culture of data excellence.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in data management and process optimization, advocating for scalable and efficient methodologies that elevate our data operations.
• Continuously explore and integrate cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to keep our data infrastructure agile and capable of handling evolving business needs.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives, acting as both a technical leader and a bridge builder among various teams, ensuring seamless integration and alignment of data strategies.
  
  

This Is The Perfect Job For Someone Who

• A BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
• 4+ years of hands-on coding experience in languages like Python, C#, Java, Node.js, Scala, or Go.
• A knack for understanding and solving complex data management challenges.
• Experience improving stability of large-scale systems using monitoring, solving bottle-necks and making appropriate changes.
• High coding standards, working independently and experience leading long term tech tasks involving many teams and stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with diverse teams, understand their needs, and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• An approachable, fun, and positive demeanor, making you a delightful teammate who brings not only expertise but also joy and camaraderie to the workplace. Being nice and fun to work with is as crucial to us as your technical skills.
