Mechanical Field Inspector

Field Inspector is discipline specific specialist working directly with contractors to ensure the installation meeting all quality, spec and design requirement.

Essential Functions:

• The Field Inspector ensures contractors meet quality, spec, and design requirements, serving as their immediate technical resource.
• Interfaces with design to resolve issues and occasionally participates in design reviews.
• Oversees off-site fabrication, drives quality control to minimize re-work and re-tests, and performs quality assurance during installation.
• Reviews 2D routing, coordinates trades, and resolves conflicts.
• Ensures 100% compliance with 3D BIM models.
• Supervises demo activities and material re-use processes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications including trade school, manufacturer seminar or similar
• Relevant piping/mechanical/architectural experience field work of at least 4 years.
• It includes working at piping/mechanical in chemistry plants, heavy industry, and civil construction industry or similar.
• Knowledge relevant mechanical installation methods. It includes PVC, PVDF, orbital welding, stainless pipe, copper, Teflon tubes etc.
• Excellent English (spoken and written)
• Ability to set priorities, good time/task management.
• Good computer skills
