Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Researcher to contribute to cutting-edge advancements in the development of advanced configurations within the field of high-speed aerodynamics. This role involves utilizing open-source code in a challenging development environment, encompassing C/C++, Python, and MATLAB.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting turbulent flow computations at a high level, including Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) and Large Eddy Simulation (LES).
• Exploring advanced computational fluid dynamics topics such as adjoint optimization, aero-optics, aeroacoustics, aeroelasticity, Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI), high-speed flows, and combustion.
• Utilizing leading computational tools and working within a LINUX environment with high-performance computing (HPC) capabilities.
• Collaborating on cutting-edge research initiatives and partnerships with academia both nationally and internationally.

Requirements:

• MSC/PHD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong background in computational fluid dynamics.
• Knowledge of fluid mechanics, applied mathematics, and numerical methods.
• Ability to independently lead complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Basic familiarity with LINUX environment and version-controlled coding is advantageous.
