Senior Lead Engineer – Backend Technologies

Position Overview: We are actively seeking a distinguished Senior Lead Engineer to take the helm of our Backend Technologies team. This pivotal role is tasked with the leadership and oversight of the engineering architecture, including the strategic design and development of our cutting-edge Software as a Service (SaaS) product. The product features external integrations and sophisticated Machine Learning (ML) data pipelines, designed to support our innovative automated supervision technology. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the future of our technology and its impact on the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical cornerstone for the foundational development of our SaaS application, demonstrating a hands-on approach and a drive for excellence.
• Architect and design robust software infrastructure utilizing cloud technologies, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Lead the charge in the development and implementation of state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms, specifically tailored for photogrammetry tasks, to analyze construction site imagery.
• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to cross-functional teams, facilitating seamless collaboration and the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
• Spearhead the backend development strategy, guiding the team through complex architectural decisions and development processes.
• Oversee the design and development of scalable, high-performance web applications, focusing on responsiveness and user experience.
• Conduct thorough evaluations and integrate cutting-edge APIs and technologies to augment our capabilities in computer vision and data analysis.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of rigorous engineering experience, with a proven track record in developing and architecting sophisticated web applications.
• Expertise in building and maintaining Restful APIs.
• Comprehensive experience with AWS cloud services, demonstrating a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and service management.
• Proficiency in designing and deploying microservices using Kubernetes, with a focus on scalability and resilience.
• Demonstrated experience in crafting complex SaaS architectures, with an emphasis on modular, service-oriented designs.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in Computer Vision, including familiarity with relevant APIs, and the ability to leverage open-source technologies to solve complex problems.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, capable of inspiring and guiding teams towards achieving strategic objectives and technological excellence.
