Chief Technology Officer

We are looking for a Founding CTO to join our legal-tech startup.

About the company

Our company is developing a new legal-tech platform that will revolutionize the way lawyers work. We are targeting the US market.

About the role

As Founding CTO, you will be responsible for all aspects of our technology, from architecture and development to security and operations. You will work closely with me, the CEO, to define the product vision and roadmap. 

We have a validated Proof of Concept (POC) thanks to our talented data science advisor. Now, we're eager to move to the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) stage. The incoming CTO will spearhead the development of this MVP, bringing the initial product vision to life.

In this founding partner role, the CTO's compensation will be solely in the form of equity in the company. This is an opportunity to join a great idea and be a partner and owner in the creation of a legal-tech company.

Requirements:

* A degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field is preferred

* Extensive knowledge of AWS/GCP/AZURE

* Experience with CI/CD best practices (CirclcCI/Jenkins/Actions)

* Working with version control systems (Git, GitHub)

* Experience with Database management (MySQL, MongoDB (Atlas), DynamoDB)

* Security, Quality, and compliance knowledge

* Experience with microservices architecture, Docker and Kubernetes

* Knowledge of using SQL, particularly MySQL and AWS services.

Advantage:

* 5+ years of experience in a senior technical leadership role

* 3+ years as DevOps/SRE/Platform engineering manager

* 5+ years as DevOps Engineer/SRE

* Experience configuring and automating monitoring tools

* Experience in managing managers

* Experience working in a remote software development environment

* Experience in building B2C applications

* Experience in LegalTech
