Video Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Video Engineer to join our Video Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will have background in video processing, streaming technologies, and system engineering. This role requires a deep understanding of video engineering to contribute to ongoing projects, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation and continuous improvement of video systems encompassing encoding, streaming, and content preparation pipelines.
• Serve as an advanced technical resource for internal teams, vendors and customers, diagnosing and resolving complex video-related issues efficiently.
• Research and adopt emerging technologies to optimize video quality and system performance. Continuously monitor key quality metrics to ensure optimal output.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of video solutions into broader product ecosystems. Maintain high-quality documentation for technical procedures and system architectures.
• Ensure video solutions scalability and security.
• Mandatory skills
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in building, supporting, and maintaining video systems covering areas like encoding, streaming, and content preparation pipelines, both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Proven ability to lead and execute technical projects from concept through to completion.
• Familiarity with the video distribution value chain, including streaming technologies, Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), and client-side players. Knowledge of networking protocols, system engineering and architecture is also essential.
• Experience in designing and managing video solutions that operate both in the cloud and on-premises.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently to troubleshoot complex video-related issues.
  
  

• Knowledge and hands-on experience with HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), including creating, managing, and troubleshooting live and on-demand.
• Familiarity with FFMPEG.
• Experience integrating video solutions into existing systems or platforms, including cloud-based and on-premises environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical
• Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
