Validation Engineer

Description

IRP systems is developing the next generation of high-performance e-powertrain systems that will change the electric vehicles market and we are seeking for an Validation engineer in Israel.

You’ll be responsible for the following
Design and implement cost-effective testing methodologies and tools for validation and troubleshooting of motor controllers for electric vehicles, leveraging a deep understanding of their physics and operational principles.
Serve as the company’s quality gatekeeper, collaborating with R&D teams (software, hardware, mechanics, and system) to resolve critical issues.
Accelerate product release cycles by developing and deploying test automation tools tailored to motor controller validation.
Create comprehensive test plans, requirements traceability matrices, execute test procedures, analyze results, and create reports according to company workflows.
Drive continuous improvement in validation processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Skills and Qualifications:
B.Sc. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related technical field with a strong foundation in electromechanical systems.
7+ years of experience in system-level validation
Team-player, quick learner, proactive, and positive attitude.
Proficient in operating lab test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, and motor test benches.
Expertise in designing and implementing test automation.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret test results in the context of physical principles.
Experience validating multidisciplinary products, physical products, propulsion systems, or related electromechanical systems in electric vehicles, sensors, and actuators – must have.
Proven ability to create and document test procedures and reports, while being focused on delivering the right information and conclusion – must have.
Fluent English.
Advantages
Experience in a System Engineer role.
Proficiency in developing software for test automation or validation in C/C++, C#, or Python.
Familiarity with automotive industry standards, such as ISO 26262 for functional safety.
