Research Associate

Position Overview:

Alpha Tau Medical is a leading innovator in the field of cancer treatment, with a primary focus on the research, development, and commercialization of Alpha DaRT (Diffusing Alpha-Emitters Radiation Therapy).

At Alpha Tau Medical, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of cancer therapy. We have established collaborations with over 55 prominent cancer centers worldwide, where we are actively conducting clinical trials to validate and refine the use of Alpha DaRT in real-world clinical settings.

We're seeking a skilled and motivated research associate to join our research team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in cell culture techniques (in vitro) and experience working with mice. You will play a key role in conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and contributing to advancing our scientific objectives. 

Key Responsibilities:

·      Administer experimental treatments and interventions to mice, monitor their health and behavior, and collect relevant samples for analysis.

·      Cultivate and maintain various cell lines and primary cells in controlled in vitro environments, ensuring optimal growth conditions and experimental reproducibility.

·      Following established guidelines, keep meticulous records of experimental procedures, protocols, results, and observations.

·      Participate in team discussions, share findings, and contribute to interpreting results during meetings. 

·      Conduct molecular biology experiments, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, gene expression analysis, and Western blotting.

·      Perform Histopathology experiments, including sample preparation, data acquisition, and analysis.

Qualifications:

·      A Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Immunology) is required.

·      Proficiency in cell culture techniques (in vitro), with a strong understanding of cell biology and maintenance.

·      Hands-on experience working with mice, including handling, treatment administration, and sample collection.

·      Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to document procedures and results accurately.

·      Practical communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented research environment.

·      Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines about laboratory work.
