Lab Engineer

Job Title: Lab Engineer for NSSL (Computer Networks and Software Systems)

Job Description:

NSSL Lab is a teaching and research lab that deals with software and computer networks. Within the lab, dozens of student projects are conducted each semester, including 3 lab courses and research activities for graduate students. We are looking for an engineer to join the lab's leading team.

Responsibilities include:

Establishing and maintaining computer infrastructures to support various lab activities.

Initiating and guiding projects for undergraduate in software and computer networks.

Developing, training, and managing lab experiments.

Supporting research for research (MSc & PhD) students.

Establishing relationships with commercial companies for collaboration purposes.

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

Experience in software development and in the field of networks and the internet.

Experience in software development in the high-tech industry – an advantage.

Knowledge and experience in Linux Administration and virtual environments – an advantage.

Experience with network simulation tools – an advantage.

Willingness and ability to self-learn advanced computer topics.

Project management skills in tight deadlines and a wide range of areas.

Teamwork ability, high service awareness, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Notes: Full-time position. Willingness to work additional hours if necessary.
