Responsibilities

• Enable R&D group managers to create an inclusive environment, coach and drive technical excellence and deliver high quality products.
• Global management of development teams located in Israel, Ukraine and Poland
• Attract, develop, and retain the best talent in the team, and engage our people effectively to drive clarity and energy in a fast-pacing environment.
• Accountable for the design, implementation, schedule, and delivery, of the Data engineering group’s programs & products.
• Lead the team in adopting relevant new technologies, tools, methods, and processes (focus on Gen AI technology adoption)
• Support and influence the team culture of being value-centric and continuously improving.
• Identify and implement Data engineering best practices.
• Drive data-driven approach to understand services performance & operational metrics.
• Leading Design, Code reviews to ensure a consistently high level of design and implementation.
• Collaborate with engineering experts and architects to build mature service capabilities (telemetry & monitoring, self-healing, and self-service, scalability, etc.)
• Ensuring compliance with security, GDPR, etc., and performance criteria
• Part of Data Department management team
  
  

• At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineering R&D manager - MUST
• 8+ years of solid design / Software engineering experience on large/complex applications development using various technologies. - MUST
• Hands on experience design and implementation of Big Data pipelines and tech stack (Airflow, Kafka, Spark, Iceberg, Hive etc) -MUST
• Good knowledge of AI & Machine Learning, programming best-practices and frameworks
• Familiar with continuous integration, unit and functional non-functional testing practices, and continuous deployment systems.
• Familiar with DevOps practices.
• Familiar with Agile development practices
