What are we looking for in a technical writer?

We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer for a full-time position (hybrid work mode: 2 days WFH) to take on a key role in developing and maintaining a wide range of technical documentation for our cybersecurity software products and support with internal and external technical communication. Someone who is autonomous and can proactively manage the documentation projects E2E. Someone diligent, professional, and highly personable with a “can-do” approach.

What can you expect to be doing?

·  Working closely with the Product Managers, R&D, and other SMEs to solicit the technical information, requirements, and specifications during all phases of development and to effectively and concisely document the relevant instructions/procedures for the product releases

· Preparing and maintaining the documentation projects per the product release roadmap (Major/Minor/Hot Fixes) as well as monitoring and control project statuses

· Participating in product demos and review meetings.

· Initiating and managing the end-to-end review and approval process for all content development from draft phase to completion to meet milestone timelines.

· Minimum of five years of technical writing experience in the software field — Must

· Fluency in oral and written communication in English

· Experience using xml/HTML single-sourcing HAT/CCMS authoring tools as well as proficiency in MS Word, and Adobe & Photoshop platforms

·  Demonstrated ability to comprehend and simplify complex technical procedures

·   Self-directed with the ability to identify deliverables and timelines and independently manage all phases of the documentation development, review, and approval process up until finalization.

·   Ability to work under pressure on multiple concurrent projects in an environment with evolving project requirements and priorities

·   Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to consult with subject matter experts from engineering, support, and product management.

· Ability to efficiently and thoroughly address feedback on published content from both customers and internal support representatives

· In-depth knowledge and understanding of how to analyze source data (e.g., Engineering specs and requirements) and retrieve the relevant information
