R&D Project Manager

Augmedics, a medical device start-up developing an Augmented Reality Guided Surgery System, is seeking for a R&D Project Manager .

Within this role, you will be directly responsible for planning and managing the execution of complex projects across a matrixed organization by:

• Coordinating and overseeing all aspects of the cross-functional project's development for a multidisciplinary product.
• Planning and leading the product development activities from the project initiation stage until product release.
• Developing a detailed project plan that is both holistic and detailed and takes into account the design control deliverables (all technical aspects) and other deliverables required for a clinical study or a commercial launch.
• Cross-functional project execution leadership including concept discussion, system design, design & technical meetings, V&V and qualification tests, program execution, clinical and pilot trials, and product field delivery.
• Initiate and lead the design reviews at the required stages of the project development process.
• Provide completion of project activities and project deliverables according to the project plan.
• Drive compliance/closure of regulatory and quality requirements before approving design control milestones.
• Take responsibility for scheduling regular project status update meetings and reviews with a cross-functional project team.
  
  

• 5+ years of experience working in a technical oriented roles within the high-tech industry.
• Out of which at least 2+ years of proven experience as a Project Manager with knowledge in the following practice areas:
• Experience with leading projects from early concept stages to production- must
• Experience with a multidisciplinary medical device – must
• Previous experience in Startup companies – an advantage
• Experience with medical imaging/visualization – an advantage
• Educational Background: B.Sc. Degree in Biomedical/ Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
• Work cooperatively in a matrixed multi-disciplinary team environment; HW, SW, System, QA/RA, Product and Operations.
• Demonstrated experience in product releases throughout the entire NPI cycle.
• Proven execution skills in meeting project goals with desired quality, performance, schedule & budget.
• Experience in medical quality standards and good engineering and documentation practices
• Familiarity with ISO13485, FDA, CE and other regulatory standards
• Experience in MS-Project- must
• Experience in Solidworks, LabView, Imaging SW– an advantage
• Detail-orientated and highly organized
• Proactive, and creative problem solving approach
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills
