Senior Product Developer

Description

The Senior Product Developer is responsible for managing projects according to specific needs and per methodology defined by the team leader. This function will act as the product development representative within each project team and ensure the follow-up with the project management tools. The Product developer ensures that the development of product formulas, prototypes, and finished products meet targeted product profiles in various product formats. This role includes option to relocate to the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Testing additives and flavors in application.
• Writing/administrating Sample Information / Specifications.
• Prepare and facilitate tasting sessions with customers.
• Updating/managing the ingredients database.
• Replenishment of Raw Material stock for PD.
• Prepare proper documentation.
• Development of fruit-containing compounds and multifruit blends for the company's customers around the globe.
• Analyses of samples and interpretation of results.
• Building/calculating recipes.
• Prepare, judge, and fine-tune recipes.
• Support the training of other team members and share knowledge.

Knowledge and Skills

• Must be willing to relocate to the Netherlands
• At least 4 years of experience in Product Development (specifically in Beverages).
• Relevant university-level degree.
• Familiar with main food/beverage technologies.
• Knowledge of Food Microbiology.
• Knowledge of Food Chemistry (interactions and reactions) / Food Physics.
• Is familiar with nutrition and nutrition calculations.
• Fluency in English is a must.
• Knowledge of flavors and their application in beverages.
• Knowledge of additives and their function.
• Well-developed sensory skills.
• Well organized, committed, team player, and able to prioritize.
• Hands-on, ability to improvise and solve problems and unforeseen events.
