Director of Software Engineering

We are looking for a Director of Software to lead the our core SW group.

The group is multidisciplinary and it responsible for the platform and infrastructure SW including Embedded Linux system, networking, simulation and distributed cloud software.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing the software stack for new silicon architectures, from offload definition and low-level drivers all the way to integration with user API and SDK, as well as a strong foundation in computer architecture. Knowledge in datacenters, distributed systems and client-server architecture is also an important advantage.

Day to day responsibilities:

· Leading our core SW group and scaling it to be able to create and deliver high scaled reliable software from definition stage to deployment at customers

· Work closely with the silicon design team to define the system requirements and architecture to ensure user and software-centric design philosophy

· Collaborate with other cross-disciplinary teams to ensure smooth integration and help in system validation of HW architecture at pre-tapeout stages

· Lead continuous improvement in software tools and infrastructure that increases developer efficiency and effectiveness

· Proactively identify technology opportunities and customer needs for the company, push forward technology and cooperation with other companies to help put the company in forefront of the technology

Basic qualifications:

· Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

· 15+ years professional experience in software development and delivery

· 5+ years of experience building, leading, and managing software teams

· Experience in hardware/software co-design, collaborating in close loop with the silicon design teams

· Track record of managing software groups and delivering high quality products on time

· Excellent communication skills and ability to lead and collaborate on complex cross-disciplinary systems

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

· Ability to lead and motivate teams to produce within tight timeframes and manage several projects

· Passion for leadership, management, and mentoring

Preferred qualifications:

· Experience in software development for embedded Linux

· Experience in software architecture and API development

· Experience with developing network stacks and protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, RoCE)

· Experience with storage protocols (e.g. NVMe)

· Experience in data center design, cloud software development

· Experience in Agile/SCRUM scale software development

· Experience with DevOps/CI processes
