Responsibilities:

• Design and implement content moderation policies to ensure a safe environment
• Be the champion of compliance in the realm of moderation, working with the legal team to ensure policies are fit-for-purpose
• Manage (and train) a team of moderators to monitor user-generated content that violates a variety of guidelines.
• Respond to complaints from users or external bodies.
• Build and maintain a roadmap to make Tango Moderation to be #1 in the live-streaming space.
• Work with 3rd-party vendors (TheHive.ai, Google, Microsoft, and others) to constantly improve core technology and main KPIs to be measured:
• Reaction time
• Accuracy and recall of visual recognition models.
• % of inappropriate content passed to public access (false negative)
• % of appropriate content rejected (false positive)
• % of decisions by human vs. automated moderation.
• Maintain and improve internal tools to increase action efficiency, and collaborate with the Data Science team to do so

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in an IT Company in the lead position in the area of Content Moderation, visual recognition, and text moderation
• 2+ years experience in Companies like us: b2c startup, fast and agile, engineering-oriented
• Experience in legal evaluation of risks related to governmental regulation of UGC, and Apple/Google compliance.
• Advanced knowledge in handling the highest risk, illegal/regulated content.
• Leadership background and advanced skills in people management and project management.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills, and readiness for intensive work
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities (English is a must, Russian is a plus)
• Technical background in the area of Engineering, Data Science, or Machine learning would be a plus
