DevOps engineer with AWS knowledge

Responsibilities:

• Automation: Automate and streamline operations and processes for deploying updates and fixes into the production environment.
• Build and Release Management: Assist in building and maintaining the CI/CD pipeline for smooth and automated build, test, and release processes.
• Monitoring: Set up and maintain monitoring solutions for different environments to preempt issues before they affect business processes.
• Performance Management: Monitor and optimize system performance according to best practices.
• Collaboration: Work with software development and IT teams to ensure that the architecture and deployed applications are robust and stable.
• Cloud Management: Manage AWS cloud infrastructure and ensure its security, scalability, and availability.
• Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve infrastructure issues.
• Documentation: Document technical procedures, configurations, and standards.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• AWS Experience: Practical knowledge of AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, VPC, CloudFormation, etc.
• Scripting Skills: Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar for automation tasks.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Familiarity with IaC tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform or CDK/Pulumni
• CI/CD Tools: Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI.
• Version Control: Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
• Containers and Orchestration: Basic knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or ECS.
• Operating Systems: Comfortable working with Linux/UNIX-based operating systems.
• Networking: Basic understanding of networking principles and protocols.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Communication: Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Learning Attitude: Eagerness to learn new technologies and tools.

Nice to Have:

• Certifications in AWS, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or AWS Certified Developer - Associate.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Understanding of security best practices in the cloud.
• Knowledge of databases, both SQL (like MySQL or PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (like MongoDB or DynamoDB).
