PHY System Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Leading PHY activities from feature development to integration.
• Focal point for all PHY and RF-related aspects.
• Defining and writing system-level requirements.
• Continuously optimize and fine-tune PHY layer algorithms to enhance the performance and efficiency of base-station products.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of PHY components with software, digital signal processing (DSP), and other subsystems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the PHY team, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
• Hands-on Lab work

Job Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in wireless communication/ PHY layer development or integration.
• Good understanding of RX and TX PHY and RF chains.
• Deep understanding of Wireless communication systems.
• Working experience with RF lab test equipment
• Solid experience with scripting language (such as Matlab or Python)
• Very good system-level understanding within a multi-disciplinary environment (HW, SW, RF)
• Involvement in research and development projects related to emerging wireless technologies, such as Massive MIMO and beamforming – Advantage.
• Solid knowledge in the physical layer specifications of 4G/5G – Advantage.
• Solid experience with programming languages – Advantage.
• Solid experience with Linux operating system – Advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English (written and verbal), team player and ability to thrive in a global multi-site environment.

• B.Sc in Electrical/Computer Engineering
