Instrumentation Supervisor (DCS)

Location: Kiryat Gat, Israel

Work Hours: 56 hours per week

Rotation: 90 days on-site, 14 days off

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Supervisor specializing in Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to oversee the setup, installation, and commissioning of DCS for a project in Kiryat Gat, Israel. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration and functionality of DCS within the client's specifications.

Responsibilities:

1. Set up and configure Distributed Control Systems (DCS) according to client specifications.

2. Oversee the installation of devices including network equipment, patch cables, etc.

3. Establish communication protocols within the DCS system and execute loop checks.

4. Collaborate with electrical technicians for EMS loop and SWGR configurations and HMI function checks.

5. Conduct function checks with commissioning managers and vendor representatives for machines.

6. Ensure communication to all devices including surge controllers, chiller units, analyzers, VSDs, etc.

7. Provide support during commissioning activities such as surge tests, anti-cavitation parameter adjustments, and interlocks.

8. Troubleshoot issues including parameter checks of devices, cabinet inspections, and communication problems.

9. Support testing of interaction between all trains and SIL function checks.

10. Troubleshoot and ensure communication to other systems via Modbus documentation, redmarking, and report testing, aligning with the office on a weekly basis.

11. Ensure a smooth handover of DCS to the client without any errors.

Requirements:

1. 10+ years of relevant experience in instrumentation and DCS installation.

2. Proficiency in PCS7 control system is essential.

3. Not necessarily an engineer, but experience in installation and communication of DCS systems is required.

4. Fluent in English to communicate effectively with international teams.
