Investment Manager

Context:  

Founded in 2012 by Pâris Mouratoglou and David Corchia, Eren is a multinational group dedicated to the conservation of natural resources and the energy transition. Building on decades of entrepreneurial success of its founders, Eren has become a major investor in and developer of companies, technologies and projects addressing the climate crisis.

Most recently, Eren sold to TotalEnergies its controlling stake in Total Eren, a global independent power producer of renewable energy (nearly 4 GW of projects in operation and a large development pipeline).  

Nowadays, the group’s activities are built around several activities, including

• Low-carbon energy generation
• Circular economy : Water and waste treatment, biogas, carbon capture, etc
• Thermal management of buildings and industries
• Other sustainable infrastructures

Role :  

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will contribute to new investments, portfolio management and strategic development initiatives across various parts of the group, from sourcing and filtering to execution, financing and integration. You will be in particular in charge of :

• Performing market and country analysis ;
• Conducting valuation, business plans review and sensitivity analyses ;
• Leading due diligence efforts, in coordination with external advisors ;
• Supporting deal structuring and contract negotiation ;
• Preparing investment memos for internal use ;
• Monitoring performance of portfolio companies and contributing to key decisions (capital raise, M&A, strategy, etc) ;
• Fostering collaboration and synergies across different companies within the group ;
• Supporting business development efforts for deployment of technologies developed by companies within the group.

 Profile : 

• Master’s degree in finance, business administration or economics, from business or engineering schools and/or engineering degree ;
• 3-7 years’ professional experience with prior transactional experience in the energy or infrastructure sectors ;
• Fluent in English and French ;
• Strong analytical skills and financial acumen required; strategic and creative thinking aptitude with attention to detail ;
• Self-starter able to work in an unstructured environment ;
• Good communicative skills, convincing and pragmatic ;
• Collaborative and engaging team member ;
• Ability to deliver in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple demands.
