Pre-Silicon design quality and reliability engineer

Job Description

Our Pre-Silicon Quality and Reliability (Pre-Si QnR) team is a diverse and dynamic group of engineers, passionate about ensuring the quality and reliability of Intel's advanced system on chip (SOC) products. We thrive on collaboration and innovation, working closely with project design teams and process experts to ensure design compliance with both Intel’s and customers’ QnR specifications. Our team members are seasoned experts in their respective fields, bringing a wealth of experience in areas such as electrostatic discharge (ESD), latch-up (LU), electro-migration (EM), High Voltage (HV) design rules, Soft Error (SER), aging, and electrical overstress (EOS).

As an engineer in design Pre-Silicon Quality and Reliability (QnR) team, you will be engaged in the QnR verification of Intel advanced system on chip (SOC) products. These designs may be based on Intel's internal process or on external foundry process.

• You will lead the planning and execution of Pre-Silicon QnR qualification, defining project QnR requirements, and mastering process QnR specifications.
• You will actively collaborate with project design teams to assure design compliance with both internal standards and external regulatory QnR requirements, such as electrostatic discharge (ESD), latch-up (LU), electro-migration (EM) design rules, aging, and electrical overstress (EOS).
• You will be executing Pre-Silicon QnR simulations using industry-standard tools, such as PERC, for ESD analysis.
• You will work on data analysis, risk evaluations, and providing technical guidance to design teams in the areas of Pre-Silicon QnR.
• This role also involves evaluating the compliance of 3rd party IPs with the project Pre-Silicon QnR requirements.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related field of study. Higher degree is preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of experience in one or more of these areas: Pre-Silicon QnR, VLSI/analog design, device physics, or VLSI product qualification.
• Familiarity with QnR industry standards, methodology, and tools is preferred.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills, which can involve design, project manager, product QnR, 3rd party IP vendors, and process QnR.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills, essential for guiding design changes to comply with QnR specifications.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
