Job Opening: Senior Backend Developer

Role Overview

We're on the lookout for a Senior Backend Developer to significantly contribute to our backend services development, focusing on Node.js and MongoDB. Your role will involve steering features from their conceptual stages to deployment, collaborating with front-end developers, product teams, and various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of premier services and features.

Key Duties:

- Gain an in-depth understanding of core algorithms and data structures.

- Write code that is clean, efficient, and accompanied by thorough documentation.

- Demonstrate expertise in both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.

- Uphold high standards for code quality, focusing on testability, security, and performance.

- Promote best practices in coding, testing, and security.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the backend stack.

- Interface with external APIs and enhance backend service performance and scalability.

- Stay informed about the latest trends and practices in backend development.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent certification from a reputable organization.

- At least 6 years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Node.js.

- Profound knowledge of GIS concepts and technologies.

- Experience with cloud-based SaaS platforms, microservices, and RESTful APIs.

- Knowledgeable in Agile development, Git, CI/CD, and testing frameworks.

- Ability to oversee system architecture planning, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Outstanding English communication skills, both in writing and speaking.

- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting, with a self-motivated, adaptable, and eager-to-learn attitude.

Preferred Experience:

- Advanced skills in MongoDB and data modeling.

- Experience with GIS systems such as Mapbox and ArcGIS.

- Familiarity with reporting engines, cloud computing, DevOps, and software architecture.

- Experience in developing SaaS products for environmental or agricultural sectors.

- Comfortable with remote work arrangements.
