Systems Administrator

Role Description

The Systems Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as system administration, troubleshooting, technical support, network administration, and information technology maintenance.

Qualifications

• Expertise in System Administration and Troubleshooting
• 5 years of experience in Technical Support and Network Administration
• Comprehensive understanding of Information Technology requirements
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex issues
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Certification in one or more of the following areas: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

Responsibilities

- Provide end-user technical support on hardware, software, and network issues.

- Install, configure, and maintain IT systems and software.

- Monitor and optimize IT system performance.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.

- Collaborate cross-functionally to address IT challenges.

- Document IT processes and ensure policy compliance.

- Enforce IT security measures for data protection.

- Manage VMware, Active Directory, Office 365, and Firewall.

- Offer basic knowledge of server hardware, storage, and virtualization.

- Install and maintain Windows OS and related hardware/software.

- Prioritize tasks and proactively solve problems.

- Handle support requests and communicate effectively.

- Develop and execute IT strategies and projects.

- Research and recommend innovative IT solutions.

Relevant skills or qualifications that would be beneficial in this role include experience with scripting languages, virtualization technologies, and cloud computing.
