NPI / Process Engineer

Position Overview

Smart Shooter is looking for an experienced NPI/Process Engineer to join the R&D department and support its intensive development efforts.

Description

As an NPI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful transition of new products from development to production. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to drive efficient and effective product launches. Your expertise will be essential in optimizing processes, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring high-quality products.

Responsibilities

Alignment with New Product Introduction Strategy:

• Work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to align the NPI strategy.
• Drive the successful introduction of new products into the manufacturing process.

Problem Resolution and Leadership:

• Manage the faults resolution process – both internal and external to the company.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate groups.
• Provide leadership, direction, and technical decision-making.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses in collaboration with key stakeholders and partners.

Design Participation and Input:

• Actively participate in design reviews, providing input on new hardware designs.

Special / Automatic Test Equipment (STE/ATE):

• Manage assembly of new STE / ATE – both In-house and using Sub-contractors.
• Provide recommendations for new production support equipment.

Production Yield Improvements and Process Enhancements:

• Collaborate on resolving yield issues.
• Analyze quality issues to provide recommendations for process enhancements.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Electrical \ Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in NPI in a multi-disciplinary system development company – Mandatory
• Experience with electro-mechanical \ electro-optical systems.
• H/W-level product qualification procedures
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate activities across cross-functional departments.
• Understanding of quality systems and standards (ISO)
