Job Description

The Quality Engineer is responsible for understanding the customer needs and ensuring that the products meet all customer requirements by using quality methodologies and tools.

In Arkal, the QE is responsible for leading quality activities during development and production stages – internally within the projects teams and directly in front of the customers - the leading global vehicles manufacturers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports Marketing / Engineering with RFQ / feasibility risk analysis phase

• DFMEA (design projects)

• Quality planning (PFD / PFMEA / PLCP, CP)

• APQP management with cooperation with project manager

• Suppliers PPAPs

• Customers PPAPs

• MSA / GR&R

• IMDS

• Process performance / capability studies / Ppk / Cpk

• Product & Process validation / functional testing – planning and execution

• Project launch controls: R@R / 2DP, safe launch / GP12

• Direct contact to customers / SQE

• Assembly / secondary equipment validations

• Participate in DRs / gage concept reviews

• Management of customer / suppliers complaints and related actions

• Partner for QMS activities

• Perform internal and external audits

• Ability to travel abroad

Education and Experience

Education and certifications:

• Mechanical/Materials/Quality engineer or practical engineer - required

• Quality courses - CQE or equivalent- advantage

Previous job experience:

• Relevant experience in Quality- required

• Familiar with production processes- required

• Automotive industry / IATF 16949 experience – advantage

Required knowledge:

• High-level understanding and use of 2D drawings / 3D CAD files, GD&T - required

• Understanding of thermoplastic injection molding technology - advantage

• High-level English communication, the job requires work in front of worldwide Arkal plants teams, customers and suppliers.
