R&D Director

Responsibilities:

• Lead three large development groups, overseeing teams for microservices platform development
• Understand the business thoroughly, to ensure data drives actionable business insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and prioritize feature development
• Oversee software product design, development, testing, and deployment
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet business objectives and deadlines
• Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and knowledge sharing
• Mentor team members for professional growth

• Academic degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience leading, managing, and scaling R&D teams, preferably in startup environments
• 8+ years of experience in scaling software engineering
• Proficiency in AWS
• Cross-platform knowledge (web, mobile, back-end, data)
• Experience in engineering best practices (code reviews, testing coverage, agile methodologies)
• Tech-savvy, data-oriented, entrepreneurial leader
• Results-oriented with a focus on achieving objectives
