Rapyd is looking for an Operational Risk Manager based in Tel Aviv to join the second line of defence risk team accountable for the oversight of Operational Risk within the organisation.

This is a key role in Rapyd’s Global Risk Team. You will be responsible for leading Rapyd’s Operational Risk program designing, enhancing and implementing the program in collaboration with the business units and support functions.

Responsibilities:

• Direct the management of operational risk from a second line of defence perspective liaising and collaborating with management from the business units and central support functions.
• Leading the design and and enhancement of Rapyd’s operational risk management framework by providing subject matter expertise in respect of governance, risk appetite, key risk indicators and maintaining Rapyd’s Risk Register
• Reviewing and maintaining Rapyd’s operational risk policies and oversight of the adequacy and effectiveness of their implementation
• Enhancing Rapyd’s operational risk reporting and the collection and analysis of loss events and incidents providing insight and ensuring the translation of root cause analysis into actionable tasks
• Collaborate with Rapyd’s business units and central support functions with regard to Risk Identification, Assessment and Monitoring of Operational Risks, undertaking Risk And Control Assessments (RACA’s).
• Leading Operational Resilience reviews, identifying critical support processes, undertaking end to end mapping to identify threats and vulnerabilities. Design and implement remediation and monitoring programs to ensure that Rapyd remains within acceptable tolerances at all times even under stress situations.

Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent in Finance, Business Administration or related field. Risk management qualification in operational risk management desired.
• 5 years + experience and expertise in operational risk at a Financial Institution or Fintech acting in a in a second line of defence capacity providing advice, guidance and challenge to the first line
• Deep understanding of operational risk programs (Risk and Control Assessments, Operational Resilience, Incident Management and root cause analysis, scenario planning and stress testing)
• Knowledge and understanding of regulatory treatment of operational risk and and how it applies to Rapyd’s operational processes and controls
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders to establish relationships and become a trusted adviser
