We are looking for a candidate with the ability to thrive in an environment with complex software and hardware designs, take ownership and be responsible for assembly and integration of a novel ophthalmic robotic platform. Responsibilities
- Collaborate on medical device integration requirements with system engineering.
- Assist with design of medical device integration solutions.
- Troubleshoot mechanicals hardware & software.
- Development of test data, system/integration testing and documentation for all phases of the development life cycle.
- Ensure quality of device integration and application functionality.
- Coordinate with purchasing, equipment manufacturers, facilities and information management regarding procurement, upgrades, and replacement of medical devices.
- Assist in performing routine system maintenance and builds.
- Maintain an orderly and functional work environment.
- Supporting system engineering activities, such as integration and requirements approval.
- Integration of multidisciplinary systems including electronics, mechanics and software.
- Perform system testing of multidisciplinary cutting-edge products.
- Taking an active role in new product assembly and integration, to build the know-how and establish working procedure together with R&D team.
Qualifications
- Practical engineer in electronics.
- Min 5 years of experience with technologically complex multidisciplinary systems including HW, mechanics & SW.
- High hands-on technical skills. Familiar with wiring, electronics, and electricity.
- Understanding of electrical schemes.
- High hands-on skills in creating and improvising electromechanical jigs.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies.
- Prior experience with encoder and engine technology is an advantage.
- Good organizational, communicational skills.
- Ability to self-manage, lead technically.
